All Drumhierny lodges are A-rated for energy efficiency. The woodland is worth visiting in every season and the lodges are built to match whatever the weather brings.
A Fully Equipped Kitchen
Each lodge comes with a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, coffee machine, and everything you need. Cook when you feel like it, eat at whatever pace suits. No reservations, no timelines, no having to plan.
Your Private Deck and Fire Pit
Every lodge has its own private deck looking out into the trees and fallen-log seating made from timber gathered on the estate. Whether it is morning coffee in the quiet or an evening fire with the people you love, this is where the best moments tend to happen.

How far is Drumhierny from Dublin?

Around two hours from Dublin, close enough to plan easily and far enough to feel completely away. The drive takes you through some of Ireland's most beautiful countryside, and the calm finds you before you even reach the gates.
Are the lodges dog-friendly?

All sixteen lodges welcome dogs. A pet cleaning fee of €50 applies and needs to be pre-booked. Simply add it when you reserve, and we will prepare your lodge accordingly.
What is included in a lodge stay?

Each lodge comes fully equipped for self-catering, with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, a private deck and fallen-log seating, and access to the estate's 5km of woodland trails and playground. The Wellbeing Sanctuary, Woodpecker Café and Hideaway Sessions can be booked separately.
How many guests does each lodge sleep?

Each lodge sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms. Multiple lodges can be booked together for larger groups, and our team is happy to help find the right combination for you.
Is there food available on the estate?

The Woodpecker Café is open on the estate and serves food and drinks throughout your stay. Opening hours are seasonal, so we recommend checking availability alongside your booking. For evenings, MJ's Bar and Restaurant is a ten-minute walk from the estate and is also part of the Drumhierny family.
What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 11am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available, so contact the team in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Do I need to book the Wellbeing Sanctuary in advance?

Yes, and we recommend doing it before you arrive. The Wellbeing Sanctuary is popular, and availability fills quickly, particularly at weekends. You can book treatments and experiences alongside your lodge reservation or contact the team directly once your dates are confirmed.
Is Drumhierny worth the price?

We stayed at Drumhierny this April as a multigenerational family, ages 4 to 83, while exploring our Irish heritage around Keshcarrigan. It was exactly what we needed.
From the moment we arrived and felt nature wrapping around everything, the stress of weeks of trip planning just lifted. The pre-selected meal boxes (charcuterie, wine, breakfast, BBQ) meant no decisions about where to eat. The trails, fairy houses, playground, spa, and a quiet porch to finally read a book meant everyone, grandparents to grandchildren, had something just for them. The lodges themselves were spotless, beautifully appointed, and had everything a family could need to feel genuinely at home.
Perfect for families, special gatherings among friends or anyone marking something special. We'd return without hesitation.

The nature of woodlands, birdsong all day, no cars driving around, the walks and accommodation were tops.
We booked two nights but stayed a third it was so good. Staff around the place so helpful and friendly.
